I'm the founder of 1428 Financial but I never set out to be an accountant. Bookkeeping just kept falling in my lap - from my first job as an office administrator to working my way up to staff accountant at a winery in Napa. I even started college thinking I'd be a math teacher. But after the third or fourth time accounting found me, I started to think "Okay, God. Clearly you want me to use this gift." So I leaned in and eventually realized I loved it - not just the numbers, but helping people feel calm and confident about their finances instead of stressed and overwhelmed. We get to see complete transformations in the people who work with us. From stressed to relieved. From worried to confident. From annoyed to relaxed. And that's what makes it all worth it.

After getting my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I've spent the last 4 years helping all sorts of businesses get their books in order. My approach? I dig deep into the details. If something doesn't add up, I work until I find the answer. I enjoy transforming financial confusion into clarity, helping our clients see the full picture of their business health. To me, bookkeeping isn't just about balancing the books – it's about building a strong financial foundation for your business to thrive.

I've spent the last eight years working in accounting - from public accounting doing audit work to six years at a tech company in the travel industry, where I specialized in revenue recognition and internal controls. I have my Bachelor's and Master's in Accounting from Texas A&M, but honestly, my favorite part of what I do isn't just being good with numbers - it's being good with people. I love taking a bunch of data and organizing it into something that actually makes sense and means something to the average person. That's what gets me excited about this work - helping clients see their numbers in a way that feels clear and useful, not overwhelming.
